A place to post thoughts and ideas that pop into my head. These will likely center on family and Christianity but will most certainly include unexpected tangents as well.

It does just work!

This weekend I picked up a used 1TB Time Capsule for our home network. Not having configured one of these in the past, I went through my normal wireless access point (WAP) process of writing down all the network information including SSID, WPA key, etc. When I connected to the Time Capsule for the first time, it asked me if I wanted to replace a WAP on my network. I selected my old WAP and it imported all the pertinent information, including the SSID and WPA settings. I don’t know why I’m surprised by this, but every time I use an Apple designed piece of hardware and/or software the amount of attention devoted to the customer experience impresses me.

Another in the long line of great experiences with Apple designed products. It all started with a 30 GB iPod photo and it continues on today.
